OPEN DAY-TIME COURSES
LEVEL:
START SAILING & BASIC SKILLS
Ages: 10 and older
The
aim of these courses is to provide young people
with the opportunity to try the sport of dinghy
sailing in a friendly, fun-filled and safe environment.
It is our mission to infuse our novices with such
a love of the sport that they want to keep coming
back for more. We provide all necessary equipment
for these starter courses.

- START SAILING
The aim of this course is to provide
a brief taste of sailing for beginners. By the end of
the course participants will have had a short introduction
to the sport of sailing, including basic boat handling
techniques and essential background knowledge. It is
recommended that all participants consolidate this
short introduction with the Basic Skills course.

Accident Insurance Fee included in cost of all courses
EQUIPMENT
Sutton Dinghy Club provides all necessary safety equipment.
Trainees are advised to bring:
- a change of clothes, including two sweatshirts, T shirt,
shorts and hat
- swimsuit and towel
- sun cream
- soft footwear
- runners or canvas shoes
- light rain gear
- wet-suit if available
- a packed lunch for full-day courses
